Ray McLaughlin

Head of Mainstream Renewable Capital, Asia Pacific

Ray heads up operations in Asia Pacific for Mainstream Renewable Capital – the finance and investment arm of Mainstream Renewable Power. He is responsible for managing strategic relationships with institutional debt and equity providers to fund Mainstream’s global development portfolio of over 6.5GW of wind and solar projects.

Based in Singapore, Ray has spent over 17 years in the asset management and banking sectors. He has originated and structured multiple investments in the renewable energy industry and has developed a strong client network internationally encompassing some of the world’s largest institutions, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Corporates and Family offices.

Previously, Ray’s experience includes roles in Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and international private bank – Julius Baer, specialising in UHNW relationship management, financial structuring and investment product design.

Ray holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast. He lives in Singapore with his wife and three sons.
