Tessa Gordelier

Principal Wind Engineer – Floating Wind Specialist, ARUP

Tessa is a chartered mechanical and energy engineer with over eighteen years’ experience in the energy industry. The last decade of her career has focused on the offshore marine renewable energy sector and she joined Arup in 2022 as Principal Wind Engineer, specialising in floating offshore wind.
Tessa brings a track record of successfully delivering on multi-partner collaborations, and her industrial and project management experience is underpinned by academic rigour and attention to detail. She has developed a detailed understanding of the floating offshore wind sector, having worked on mooring/anchor design, floating platform design, supply chain, fabrication, infrastructure and logistics feasibility.
Tessa has spent several years supporting businesses with research and innovation in the offshore sector through the Marine-i Consortium. She has published multiple papers in internationally recognised journals on these topics as well as sitting as an expert reviewer on boards including the Research Council of Norway.
