Morten Melin

Executive Vice President, Construction & Northland Power Europe Managing Director

As Executive Vice President, Construction, Morten is responsible for leading Northland’s global construction activities. He joined the company in August 2017.

Morten is a highly accomplished executive with extensive experience working in the international renewable energy sector, including his involvement on more than 25 offshore as well as several onshore wind projects. Most recently, Morten was Vice President, Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) for DONG Energy Wind Power based in Europe. Throughout his career, Morten has successfully led his team’s projects to completion on time, on budget and with an excellent Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) performance, while fostering a focus on global organizational effectiveness and maximizing project value through all phases of an asset’s lifecycle.

Morten has previously served on the board of directors of A2SEA A/S, Inwind A/S and is currently on the board of ZITON A/S.

Morten holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc.) from Aarhus University; he also completed a program in Advanced Corporate Finance from London Business School and an Executive Leadership Program from INSEAD.
