Matthew Taylor

Director, Green Giraffe

Matthew Taylor joined Green Giraffe in 2012 and is director of London office. Within Green Giraffe, Matthew has been involved in a number of offshore wind farm transactions in the UK and Germany. Over the past 4 years, Matthew was project manager of the financing work streams (including debt and equity) for Veja Mate (402 MW, Germany, 2015) and Deutsche Bucht (269 MW, Germany, 2017). His work also included the commercial management of the negotiations of the turbine supply agreements for these projects. Matthew was a steering committee member for Deutsche Bucht, responsible for all commercial and financial aspects. Prior to joining Green Giraffe, Matthew worked in the offshore team for a UK based global independent power producer, where he was involved in the final construction phase of Lynn & Inner Dowsing, the negotiations of the turbine supply agreement, financing and construction of Lincs and finally the early structuring and turbine selection process for Race Bank and the Irish Sea Zone. Matthew holds an MEng in aeronautics from Imperial College in London.
