Marco Pipparelli

Transaction Director, Arup

Marco is a transaction director in Arup’s Advisory team, leading the Renewable Energies business. He has led technical and commercial due diligence assessments on a broad range of renewable generation projects for the last 10 years.

Marco graduated in Economics and holds an MBA from ESADE and Booth Business Schools.

He managed vendors and buyers’ due diligence transactions for more than 100GW in the offshore, onshore wind, solar PV, hydro, biomass and geothermal sectors in Europe, South America and Asia. In offshore wind he advised vendors or buyers on more than 20 mandates, with main projects including Statoil’s sale of 20% stake of Sheringham Shoal to GIB, and China Resource Power’s acquisition of 30% stake of Dudgeon from Statkraft.

He recently managed Arup’ broad renewables team on several offshore wind transactions that included 2 projects in Japan; Hai Long and Yunlin in Taiwan; Dudgeon, Triton Knoll, NNG offshore wind farms in UK; and Gode Wind 1, Veja Mate, Bard 1 in Germany.
