Senior Engineer, Wood Thilsted
Luke Fussell is a Senior Engineer at Wood Thilsted, specialising in design and project management of offshore wind foundations. Luke has been working in the offshore sector on a range of renewable and oil & gas projects for over 10 years and has worked on a wide range of projects and structures in that time. Luke was at Atkins in the UK for over 8 years, starting in their aerospace division, working on the windbox of the A380, before moving into offshore work. Whilst at Atkins, he was seconded to Vestas’ R&D division for 18 months, working on active blade designs. Following this, Luke carried out specialist fatigue work on various monopile and jacket structures, before leaving to work at ABS certification division for a year. Luke moved to LIC energy in 2015 where he worked developing primary and secondary steel designs for a wide range of wind farms, prior to taking on a role as Owner’s Engineer for LEM’s wind farms which are to be developed off the coast of France. Luke joined Wood Thilsted in February 2019.
