Jon Nysæther

Technology Manager Hywind, Equinor

Jon Nysæther is leading engineer in Equinor’s Hywind Development team. He is involved in the further development and deployment of the Hywind technology and of floating wind in general.
He is now focusing on project development in new markets for floating wind, with Korea as a key activity.
Jon has previously been involved in the Hywind Tampen project as technology manager, and was also involved in the Batwind project where offshore wind was integrated with battery storage.
He has has worked extensively with new applications for offshore wind, especially in connection with oil&gas assets. Jon joined Equinor in 2011. He holds a PhD in Physics from the university if Oslo.
