James Harris

With over 30 years’ experience as a projects lawyer (the last 20 of which have been based out of Singapore), James has successfully closed greenfield and brownfield transactions across numerous industry sectors in Asia and beyond. These have included renewables transactions in Taiwan where he represented JERA late last year on their successful acquisition from Macquarie and SwanCor of a 32.5% interest in the Formosa 1 offshore wind project. He regularly advises project developers/sponsors, host governments, and funders (commercial banks, export credit agencies, and multilaterals).

James is a founding member of the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA) Project Finance Committee, Asia chair for the International Project Finance Association, and an adjunct professor of law at Singapore Management University lecturing in Project Finance.
