Jake Anderson

Group Director of Longitude

Jake Anderson graduated from University of Southampton firstly in Naval Architecture and then in Marine Engineering. He started at KBR where he worked on the design of the Terra Nova FPSO and the construct in the South Korean shipyard. In 1999 he joined LOC where we worked in Marine Warranty Surveying and marine casualty investigation. In 2005, he founded the LOC design and analysis brand called Longitude, specialising in hydrodynamic and structural analyses. He worked on a number of projects involving moored vessels including FPSO conversions which included the detailed design of the mooring systems. In 2008, he moved to head up Longitude UK, which was focused on offshore wind. Over the last 10 years, Longitude UK has become a specialised provider of engineering design and analysis services to wind farm construction contractors. These services include the design of cable installation vessels and O&M jack-ups, GBS installation analysis, cable installation analysis and mooring design. Having now worked on over 30 wind farm projects, he has amassed a wealth of experience in the offshore wind market, with knowledge of the work of the developers, designers and installation contractors.
