Daniel Liang

Head of Energy Storage Services APAC, Singapore

Dr. Daniel Liang has started his career in power engineering since 2006 after receiving doctorate in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Throughout his career in power industries in Singapore and the UK, Daniel has developed domain expertise in power system study, renewable energy (solar/wind/hybrid), and energy storage system integration. Daniel has been working in consultancy line since joining DNV GL Energy (formerly KEMA) in 2013, where he was later appointed as energy storage service lead for APAC. He is now part of UL family, and continues to serve clients in this region. His primary focus will be on energy storage and hybrid energy systems at project level, to assist clients on their needs such as technical, financial (economic & commercial), regulatory, market & strategy, safety & risks, asset management, etc.
