Ben Lim

Environmental & Social Team Leader, East Asia

Ben Lim is currently Mott MacDonald’s environmental and social (E&S) team leader for the East Asia region. He is a BEng and MSc qualified environmental consultant with more than 10 years’ experience. Ben has worked on a diverse selection of projects including several power sector landmark developments (ie first or largest) spanning across Southeast Asia countries as well as Taiwan and Japan. With Mott MacDonald’s E&S team, Ben had led both Owner’s and Lender’s work focusing on compliance with international E&S safeguard standards, and had facilitated the financial close of numerous projects across the region.

Besides involvement in E&S due diligences for various Taiwanese solar and wind power plants, key recent experience also includes leading the Owner’s E&S work in supporting both Formosa I (ie first offshore wind farm in Taiwan) and Formosa II towards achieving of Equator Principle compliance.
