Andrew Blears (Bsc (Hons) in Microbial and Cellular Biology) started work in the Survey & Seismic Industry in 2004 when he began working as a Trainee Navigator and subsequently providing personnel to the global Survey, ROV & Seismic fleet. Since then, he has developed with the expansion of Atlas to become market leader in The Subsea sector as Atlas UK Operations Director and is now responsible for expansion in the APAC region. Andrew sat on the Committee at the International Marine Contractors Association – Offshore Survey Section and Competence and Training sub committee, and was instrumental in the development of Competency Schemes for Freelance Professionals. Since moving to Asia, he has now joined the Society for Underwater Technology as Committee member and is an active member of the Singapore Shipping Association.
