Alan Thomson

Global Energy Leader, Arup

Alan is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers in London, Industrial Co-chair of the Energy Research Partnership (ERP) and Advisory Group Member of the Prospering from the Energy Revolution programme. He is a frequent speaker and panelist at industry events, including various World Energy Council events.
As Arup’s Global Energy Leader, Alan has the responsibility for drawing together our broad range of capability around the world and positioning their skills and experience in support of all our clients, wherever they may be. He oversees, enables, links and transfers our various energy activities to ensure that we remain at the leading edge in our fields of activity, weaving together pragmatic outcomes which are technically, commercially and societally deliverable.
