Agnes Agterberg

Senior Official at the Government of the Netherlands

Mrs. Agnes Agterberg is a senior official at the government of the Netherlands. She has served in various positions related to (renewable) energy, environment and climate change policy, with a focus on international cooperation. Agnes has a Master’s Degree in Science and Policy from Utrecht University. Before joining the government she worked as product manager biogas at Dutch utility company Nuon, and as project manager bioenergy at consultancy firm ETA-Florence, in Italy. After that, she worked at the Ministry of Environment of the Netherlands on the Dutch national climate policy, and at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, amongst others on trade promotion for the Dutch energy sector. This work focused largely on offshore wind in Asia. Agnes is currently posted at the Netherlands embassy in Seoul, South-Korea, where she works at the economic section.
