S.B. Submarine Systems (SBSS) is Asia’s leading provider of submarine cable installation and maintenance solutions. Serving both the fibre optic and power cable sectors, the company has expertise in telecommunications, power utility, oil and gas and renewables markets. SBSS was established in 1995 in Shanghai and is a joint venture between China Comservice and the Global Marine Group. Our current fleet consists of three DP2 cable lay vessels fully equipped with state-of-the-art cable ploughs and trenching ROVs and one cable lay barge equipped with 5,500t carousel and 3m burial sledge. Since establishment, SBSS has installed over 65,000km of cable and actively engaged in over 130 submarine projects across the telecommunications, power utility, oil and gas and renewables sectors.
