Job Description

  • Support day-to-day
  • Support day-to-day activities of Lead Shipbroker.
  • Analyse, research market trends in the offshore support vessel market.
  • Assist in drafting, negotiating of charter party agreements and sale and purchase agreements.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with clients.
  • Assist in identifying ways to drive and develop new business and clients.
  • Timely follow up of post fixture activities
  • Attend meetings with clients and networking events where required. After hours from time to time is expected.
  • Able to perform short term travel regionally.

Job Requirements

  • Only Singaporean and PR should apply.
  • Diploma or Degree holder in Maritime studies, Engineering, or similar education from established schools.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Fluent in a second language such as Chinese, Bahasa etc.
  • Hardworking, highly motivated, sharp, meticulous and goal driven.
  • Able to work well independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Enthusiasm for the shipping, and offshore energy industry with a strong desire to pursue a career as a shipbroker.
Whilst the below is not a minimum requirement, but in our experience, people who possesses below will go on to become very successful shipbrokers.

Preferred Requirement

  • Some experience in commercial and/or technical knowledge of Offshore Energy industry
  • Analytical, creative and “out of a box” thinker
  • Excellent negotiation skill in both written and verbal communication.
  • Multi-tasker with superior time management skills
  • Able to work with clients from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Hunger to succeed.
