We are working with a global renewable energy leader seeking a Senior Public & Regulatory Affairs Manager to support the expansion of offshore wind and emerging renewable technologies in Korea. This is a high-impact, strategic role where you’ll help shape the regulatory and stakeholder environment that underpins the long-term success of their projects in Korea.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and lead strategies for engaging with Korean government ministries, local authorities, and regulatory bodies relevant to offshore wind and clean energy.
Build and maintain strong relationships with political stakeholders, regulatory agencies, industry associations, and local communities-including fisheries and residents in project areas.
Represent the company’s interests in industry and public forums, working to positively influence the evolving regulatory landscape for renewable energy.
Partner closely with internal cross-functional teams-both locally and across APAC/global HQ-to align stakeholder strategies with broader business goals.
Ensure alignment across regulatory, permitting, and public affairs initiatives from project development through execution.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Deep understanding of Korea’s renewable energy policy landscape and decision-making processes.
Proven experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, stakeholder engagement, or public affairs-ideally within the energy, infrastructure, or environmental sectors.
Strong existing network or ability to build and manage relationships with local governments, policymakers, fisheries, and other interest groups.
Confident communicator in both Korean and English, with the ability to present complex topics clearly and diplomatically to both internal and external audiences.
Experience working in a multinational, matrix-style organization is a plus.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach-comfortable navigating ambiguity and working both independently and collaboratively.
