Role Overview – Offshore Substation Package Manager

We are seeking a technically skilled and motivated Offshore Substation Package Manager to support the delivery of large-scale offshore wind projects in Asia. This position plays a key role in managing the offshore substation (OSS) scope-from design and procurement to execution and commissioning-ensuring engineering excellence, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination across related project packages.

Responsibilities

  • Apply “safety by design” principles throughout all project phases: engineering, construction, operation, and decommissioning.

  • Lead the technical design, scope definition, assessment, and management of the offshore substation (OSS) system.

  • Oversee the full electrical system design of the wind farm (including HV, LV, grid studies, protection, SCADA, etc.).

  • Prepare and manage technical documentation for tendering processes (e.g., ITT for substation packages).

  • Develop commissioning strategies and ensure smooth execution of OSS commissioning.

  • Act as the key technical interface between OSS and adjacent work packages (substructure, subsea cables, onshore substation, and WTGs).

  • Support the design and integration of export and array cables in close collaboration with the cable package manager.

  • Coordinate with relevant grid authorities to ensure compliance and grid connection readiness.

  • Provide technical input during contract negotiations and support supplier evaluations.

  • Engage with local and international suppliers to align technical solutions and specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.

  • Solid experience in offshore wind substation engineering, ideally from design through to execution.

  • Familiarity with Taiwanese and/or European electrical standards and codes.

  • Knowledge of electrical infrastructure for offshore wind projects, including substations, cables, and protection systems.

  • Strong understanding of project tendering, contract technical input, and bid evaluation.

  • Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering tasks and managing technical interfaces.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software tools.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to collaborate across global teams.

  • Fluency in English is considered an advantage.

Location

This role is based in Taiwan Tpe, with flexibility to travel across project sites and to support cross-border coordination with international stakeholders.
