Prof. Dr. Martin Skiba

Prof. Dr. Martin Skiba, born 29.04.1964, holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering; he is chair-man of World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO), board member of German Offshore Wind Energy Foun-dation, board member of BWO e.V. in Germany, member of the supervisory board of Senvion S.A. (until 07/2017) and honorary professor at Leibniz University Hannover. Between 2008 and 2013 he was a director at RWE Innogy GmbH being in charge of the development, construction and op-eration of offshore windfarms, before that he built up the Offshore Wind Energy division at REpower Systems AG (nowadays Senvion S.A.) between 2001 and 2008. Since 2014 he is an independent industry adviser working exclusively in the growing offshore wind industry. On behalf of German Fed-eral Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy he joined the G7 meeting of Ministers for Energy and Environment in Halifax in Sept. 2018.
