Kok Leong (KL) Chong

KL Chong is a senior consultant and the General Manager of LEAP ENERGY, a technical consultancy firm that assist its clients in executing challenging projects.
His clients include Fortune 500 national oil companies PETRONAS and PTTEP, supermajor SHELL, and established offshore wind developers such as CIP and WPD.
Before devoting his work fulltime to LEAP ENERGY, KL Chong served as Head of Operation for an independent energy explorer. He has spent his last 20 years’ experience from an offshore engineer to senior management level, involved in numerous projects worldwide.
KL Chong holds an MSc in Energy Management from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
Besides dedicating his time to LEAP ENERGY, KL Chong is an enthusiastic chess player where he spends most of his spare time playing chess with his son.
