Position Overview:
An experienced Vessel Manager is sought to oversee the operations, maintenance, and performance of a new Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) in APAC. The role requires expertise in vessel operations, deck management, and offshore wind vessel management, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Supervise daily vessel operations, ensuring optimal performance, cost efficiency, and adherence to operational strategies.
Crew Leadership: Manage and train the vessel crew, ensuring compliance with company policies, certifications, and safety procedures.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to maritime regulations, industry standards, and international conventions while implementing safety protocols.
Maintenance Coordination: Oversee maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking, working closely with technical teams to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, procurement, and management) and external parties (clients, regulators, port authorities, and vendors).
Budget Oversight: Develop and manage budgets for operations, maintenance, and repairs, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
Proven experience in offshore wind vessel management or a similar marine operations role.
Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Leadership and team management skills with excellent communication abilities.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in vessel management software and systems.
Relevant shore-based certifications (DPA/PSO or equivalent).
