Job Purpose: The Service Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of day-to-day operation of an offshore windfarm in Akita Prefecture. This includes strict adherence to HSE standards, delivery of the contractual obligations, planning of operations and maintenance activities, budget control (P&L), and employee development. In the first year you will be expected to travel extensively to Europe. The final work location will be the offshore wind O&M site in Akita Prefecture, Japan.

Responsibilities:

  • Site compliance with internal Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems
  • Development of a team of employees
  • Profit and loss responsibility for the site
  • Delivering optimal production of the windfarm
  • On-time execution of scheduled services
  • Ensure contractually agreed requirements are achieved
  • Site activity plan and efficient utilization of resources across the site
  • Develop and implement the site business plan and associated balanced score cards
  • Delivering and supporting local requirements in support of setting up the Region

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in a management position in an industrial or field service business
  • Superior organizational and planning skills, including excellent time management
  • High level commercial and business acumen – financial & contractual
  • Offshore experience desirable however other industries like power and heavy industries can be considered
  • Native Japanese and fluent English language skills
  • Valid driving license for Japan
