Key Responsibility:

Delivering high-quality analyses and studies of individual pre-construction wind farm sites to clients in a timely, efficient and high-quality manner.

To achieve its aim, Wind Pioneers is driven by its consultancy work, both in terms of providing the revenues for our continued existence, but also to provide a rich source of learning opportunities to help test and develop our approaches.

Growing a cohort of satisfied clients is key to the company achieving its long-term aim, and the Head of Wind and Site for Wind Pioneers will be responsible for overseeing and executing our consultancy projects to ensure the successful execution, client satisfaction, and quality deliverables.


Detailed Responsibilities:

The role will broadly involve:

  1. Client liaison
  2. Report writing
  3. Creating/finalising reports and other deliverables
  4. Mentoring engineers and be the first line of contact for guidance and support
  5. Quality checking of work
  6. Formalising and delivering results and reports
  7. Documenting approaches
  8. Advancing and building on existing approaches
  9. Researching on new techniques and advancements in the industry

In time the role has the potential to grow into the following areas:

  1. Ownership of end-to-end projects
  2. Approval of technical work
  3. Detailed understanding of prospecting & other areas handled by the company
  4. Partnering with the Technical Lead in expanding the company’s footprint regionally and technically


Candidate Requirements:

  • A passion for wind resource, and for the role renewable energy can play in mitigating climate change
  • 7+ years of experience in the field and capable of independent work, and taking initiative in self-directing work projects
  • Highly organised
  • Detail orientated
  • Confident communicator
  • Willingness to be both client-facing and technical
  • Able to build rapport with team
  • Takes great pride in quality of their work
  • Always looking to improve processes, approaches
  • Potential to grow with the company into substantial technical leadership position
