The Financial Controller acts as the contact person for finance and compliance related matters in Taiwan for the Business Unit (BU) Offshore Energy.
This role reports functionally to the Senior Project Controller and hierarchically to the Business Controller BU.
Key Responsibilities
– Is “functionally”responsible for the cash flow and the financial position of the local entity
– Manages and monitors cash, cash flow forecasting
– Ensures accurate and timely reporting for the local entity and Group requirements (e.g., project reporting, cash flow forecasting)
– Leads the local accounting administration and day-to-day financial transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and bank transactions)
– Administers the local payroll process
– Leads the administration of local taxes, e.g. income taxes, VAT and withholding tax procedures – Ensures compliance with processes and procedures, and with local laws and regulations
– Ensures proper finalization and reporting of financial statements, and other financial reports
– Provides advice on local finance and compliance matters
– Other ad-hoc tasks and activities in the office.
Tax, Legal and Statutory matters
– Ensures accurate completion of tax returns and tax filing of the local entity in compliance with local laws and regulations
– Monitors changes in tax legislation, ensures implementation of tax structures in compliance with local regulations
– Ensures accurate completion of local reports and statutory accounts
Stakeholder Management>
– Manages audits and liaises with local accounting firms, tax authorities and banks.
