Established in June 2004, Suzlon Energy Australia (SEA) commenced operations with a total strength of two employees. In 2005 The Company secured its first deal – Hallett with AGL and there has been no looking back since then. Today, SEA has cornered 25% of the Australian wind energy market, bringing world-class expertise to every aspect of wind energy production in the Australian continent. Its Burnley office is the Australian operational headquarters for Business Development, Supply Chain, Service and Maintenance, Engineering Support, Finance, HR, QHSE and our 24/7 Suzlon Monitoring Centre in Australia. SEA experienced rapid growth since 2005, growing from a company of 10 people to over 350 employees in 2011. The company installed 362 units of S88-2.1 MW Wind Turbines, one unit of S95 and one unit of S97 prototype, emerging as the undisputed champion in EPC wind farm construction in Australia.
