Established in 2011, Impact Electrons Siam (IES) emerged at the forefront of renewable energy developments in the Asia Pacific, determined to develop clean and reliable energy to build a better future for our community.
Solar Energy — In Thailand, IES focuses on solar rooftop projects with 2.5MW in operation, synchronized with the Metropolitan Electricity Authority. To further provide tailor-made solar rooftop solutions, Impact Solar was established aiming to implement over 175MW of accumulated projects by 2021. In Japan, IES pioneered a 10MW mega solar farm in Hiroshima prefecture with over 180MW in its development pipeline.
Wind Energy — IES is developing a 600MW Monsoon Wind Power Project, poised to become ASEAN’s largest wind farm and the first wind power development in Lao PDR. We aim to provide wind energy without the aid of government subsidies and sustain local communities by eliminating the need for resettlement.
Biomass Energy — IES established Wood Pellet Siam (WPS) to trade legally and sustainably- sourced biomass fuels procured from the south of Thailand. In 2016, WPS became the first foreign trading company awarded a Japanese certification of woody biomass for power generation for its wood pellet supply of 30,000 Tons per year (TPY), with plans to increase to 150,000TPY.
