The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued tenders for the installation of 1.2 GW of wind and 7.5 GW of grid-connected solar power capacity, it was announced last week.

SECI, a government of India enterprise, published a request for selection (RfS) document for 7.5 GW of photovoltaic (PV) projects in Leh and Kargil districts of the Jammu and Kashmir state. The targeted capacity is split into three packages of 2.5 GW each, two of which will be set up in Leh district.
